Your Passion is Your Salvation: Escape the Matrix
The Matrix isn’t what you think, but it exists nonetheless. And if you want to escape the matrix, you first have to understand it.
There’s an incredible TED Talk by Sir Ken Robinson on the public education system in America.

In his presentation, Sir Robinson makes a great argument as to some of the issues that have stemmed from arts and music not being given the same status as math and science.
This has caused us as a society to snuff out the idea at an early age that creativity and our passions can be a viable career path.
Because of this, by the time we are adults, we tend to lose a lot of our creativity that we once had as children and teenagers…
Or at least that’s what we’ve convinced ourselves of anyway.
The thing is, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Humans love to create!
We love to build.
We love to expand.
We love to grow.
It’s in our nature.
We approach our everyday challenges with ever-changing creative solutions.
And we do it sometimes without even realizing it.
How do you think we got to where we are today?
Everything from the internet and social media,
To SpaceX rockets, electric vehicles, and artificial intelligence…
They’re all results from the combination of innovation and creativity.
All things that, at one point people said “ could never be done …”
Until someone decided to break the glass ceiling and do them anyway.
The same things were said about creativity, art, music, and dance…
That they “ aren’t real careers… “
That you could “ never make a living out of them… “
Well…
Tell that to the TikTok dancers earning millions of dollars per year with nothing more than 30-second clips from their phones, like Charli D’Amelio.
Tell that to artist Beeple, who sold his digital artwork as an NFT (non-fungible token) for $69 Million.
Tell that to elite NFT artist FEWOCiOUS, whose digital art sales have now reached roughly $50 Million (not to mention crashing the Christie’s Auction House server).
And yes, these are all extreme examples…
But tell this to the millions of individual singers, song writers, DJs, and producers creating their own music and uploading it to Spotify from their laptops…
Building followings that are only in the 10’s or even 100’s of thousands of followers…
But making a full-time living from their passions with nothing more than a phone or computer, and an internet connection.
Yea, maybe this kind of lifestyle was next to impossible 20+ years ago…
You know, before the internet?
But the internet changed everything.
Now we laugh at the people who used to make those statements.
“Okay, boomer…” becomes a more common phrase every day.
(Don’t worry boomers, we will love you anyway!)
It’s time you allowed your mind to catch up with the times,
And stop living in the fantasy world your parents and grandparents told you it would be.
Because the fact is…It’s not.
The fact of the matter is:
If something can be done ONCE , it can be done again.
As Harry Potter would say,
“Every great witch or wizard started out as nothing more than what we are now: students. If they can do it, why not us?”
What’s stopping you from taking that innate ability to create that’s inside of you, and combining it with what you love and already do:
your hobbies!
That’s the first step to building online passive income streams in today’s day and age.
It’s nothing more than doing what you already love to do on a regular basis,
But simply deciding to actively create content around it and monetize.
And you actually see it way more than you may realize.
Anytime you ever see someone on social media say:
“ use my link in the description” or “ use my code” — that is most likely an affiliate or sales link.
That person is making passive income every time someone uses their link to buy that product or service.
Or even building their own website, product, or service and adding the URL to their various social media profiles.

And I know what you’re thinking:
“Why would anyone want to listen to or learn from me? I’m not an expert, it’s just a hobby.”
How many times have you gone and searched how to do something on either Google or YouTube?
Before you started watching, did you look for that creator’s college degree or official certification?
Of course you didn’t!
That’s the great thing about passive income through content creation.
You don’t need to be an expert.
You just need to help someone get from where THEY are, to where YOU are, on the subject matter.
Everyone has to start somewhere, and you can be that somewhere for someone.
People want to learn and interact with someone they can feel a sense of connection with.
Not someone who seems so far beyond where they are, that the road looks never-ending.
No matter how novice or advanced you are…
There is SOMEONE who knows less than you.
That means there is someone that you can help.
“But there’s already so much content about my hobby, why make more of the same content? “
I’m glad you asked!
Every single person has their own unique experience and way of doing things.
Every single person has their own unique way of explaining things, or using different analogies, or describing things.
I could go watch a YouTube video that explains how the Earth rotates around the Sun, and because of the way the person explained it, come out the other side having no clue how it actually works.
But then I could go watch your video where you explain in just a slightly different way, using a slightly different example or analogy…
And suddenly, it clicks and I get it!
Just because content already exists about a particular topic, doesn’t mean you can’t still contribute value to the conversation based on your own personal unique view and experience.
So how is your passion your salvation?
Quite simply, it boils down to this:
Happiness comes from doing what you love, and living life on your own terms.
In whatever way that is, unique to each individual.
So if you can make what you do for “work” be in alignment with what you do “for fun,”
You create both success and happiness simultaneously,
Because they feed off each other.
You do what you love, which makes you happy.
You teach what you love, which makes you happy while also helping other people.
You earn from helping other people by monetizing your skills and knowledge.
You rinse.
You repeat.
And everybody wins.
Empower Yourself.
